Golf outing aims to bring Judson and community together

Local businesses are invited to join a golf invitational, hosted by Judson's schools of Art, Design & Architecture, and Leadership & Business, starting at 9 a.m. Saturday, June 28 at the Randall Oaks Golf Club in West Dundee.

This golf invitational seeks to build relationships with community businesses. All funds raised will benefit student scholarships in the Schools of Art, Design & Architecture, and Leadership & Business. The event was established in 2013 by then-dean of the School of Leadership and Business Tom Berliner. This year the event is being led by SoLAB's Interim Dean David Cook and SoADA Dean Curtis Sartor.

"We wanted to do something that would both support our students, and strengthen our bonds with local businesses," Cook said. "There's really no better way to do that than with a good game of golf on a beautiful summer day."

Participants can register as a team of four and/or become a sponsor. Sponsors can choose from four different sponsorship levels, each with its own roles and benefits.

Corporate sponsors can register at $1,000 level and register as a foursome in the tournament, as well as have their logo posted on Judson's golf outing webpage, have their signage posted on the golf course, and receive a sleeve of golf balls.

Beverage cart sponsors can register at $500 level and drive around the course to meet and network with golfers, hand out drink tickets to golfers, and pass out gifts. Hole sponsors can register at $300 and work the hole they sponsor, have their signage displayed at the hole, and pass out gifts. Driving range sponsors can register at $200 and place their sign on the driving range, as well as pass out gifts.

A raffle will be held at the end of the tournament for two free rounds of golf at Randall Oaks. All participants will receive a boxed lunch.
