Join Flag Day ceremony June 14, hosted by Elgin Elks
The Elgin Elks Lodge 737 will hold its annual Flag Day ceremony at 2:30 p.m. Saturday, June 14, at Veterans Memorial Park, next to Gail Borden Public Library, 270 N. Grove Ave. in Elgin.
Elgin Mayor Dave Kaptain will be the speaker. Elgin American Legion Post 57 will present the colors along with Boy Scout Troop 18 and Pack 67.
The Legion also will conduct their Flag Retirement Ceremony. The public is invited.
Please bring your own chair as seating is limited.
Hot dogs and chili will be served at the lodge after the ceremony.
