• Two engines were stolen, one on May 19 and the other May 26 or 27, from a farm on the 43W600 block of Bahr Road near Hampshire, according to a sheriff's report.

• Two 15-year-old boys from Algonquin were charged in a Saturday concession stand burglary as minors, police said. Deputy Police Chief Steve Kuzynowski said officers caught the two boys breaking into the concession stand near a baseball diamond on the 500 block of Longwood Drive. One boy was charged with burglary, theft and possession of drug paraphernalia, while the other one was charged with burglary and criminal damage to property, Kuzynowski said. The boys were released to their parents.
