Elgin Sports Hall of Fame sets golf outing

The Elgin Sports Hall of Fame Foundation will hold its annual charity golf scramble on Thursday, Sept. 4 at the Bowes Creek Country Club.

The 18-hole scramble event also includes lunch, dinner and prizes and will include live and silent auctions. All proceeds go to benefit the ESHOF and its scholarship program.

Lunch will be served at Porter's Pub from 11 a.m. to 12:15 p.m. Registration begins at 10:30 a.m. and the golf scramble begins with a shotgun start at 12:30 p.m. followed by dinner.

Cost of the event is $125 for an individual golfer and $500 for a foursome. Dinner only is $35.

Registrations paid by Aug. 1 will receive five free raffle tickets.

Golf hole sponsorships are also available for a $150 tax deductible donation. Deadline for hole sponsorships is Aug. 22.
