Big kick off for summer reading program:

The 2014 Summer Reading Club, "Paws to Read," begins Saturday, June 7, with an event featuring crafts, music, entertainment, food and more at the Round Lake Area Public Library, 906 Hart Road, Round Lake. The club is a free opportunity for participants of all ages to read for fun and earn prizes as they complete their reading goals. Saturday's event includes performances by Robin's Amazing Dogs, Balloon Dude Dale, and Noodles the Wonder Dog. Other appearances include Clifford the Big Red Dog, Officer Terry and K-9 Starr, and Holly the Collie. More than 40 crafters/vendors will be on hand. Community partners will include Save-A-Pet, Kindergarten Readiness Program, Round Lake Area Park District, Abundant Life Church and school registrations for the 2014/15 school year will be accepted by the Round Lake Area Unit District 116.
