Judge applicants sought:

Applications are being accepted to fill the vacancy in the 19th Judicial Circuit by the retirement of Associate Judge Joseph R. Waldeck on July 3. The seat will be filled by vote of the circuit judges. Any attorney who seeks appointment must be a United States citizen, licensed to practice law in this state, and a resident of the 19th Judicial Circuit. Two signed original applications, submitted on the official form, must be filed with: Michael J. Tardy, Director, Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, 3101 Old Jacksonville Road, Springfield, Illinois 62704-6488. Applications must be received by 5 p.m. on July 7. Application forms can be obtained from the Office of the Chief Judge, 19th Judicial Circuit, Lake County Courthouse, 18 North County St., Waukegan, from the Administrative Office of the Illinois Courts, or downloaded from www.state.il.us/court. Applications may not be submitted electronically or via facsimile.
