Foreigner, Kenny Rogers slated for Du Quoin fair

DU QUOIN, Ill. - The iconic rock 'n' roll band Foreigner will be playing at the Du Quoin State Fair, and they'll be getting a bit of backup help from local teenagers.

Organizers of the August festival say Foreigner will perform at the southern Illinois fair on Aug. 23. The Du Quoin High School choir will accompany the band on their hit "I Want To Know What Love Is."

The fair's lineup also will include country legend Kenny Rogers on Aug. 24, country's Travis Tritt on Aug. 25, and the contemporary gospel group, the Jon Henninger Band, the following night.

On Aug. 28, .38 Special takes the stage, followed by country music's Rodney Atkins the next night. KC and the Sunshine Band will perform Aug. 30.
