Naperville police investigating suspicious incident at bank

Naperville police are investigating a suspicious May 28 incident where two unidentified people entered a Naperville bank and lied about being workers of a telephone carrier/company.

The man and woman said they had an appointment to "convert" the bank's telephone lines to a newer system, according to a news release. They tried to get into a bank room that held the phone lines and computer equipment, but once it was proved they were not with the phone company, they were not allowed inside the room, according to the release.

The suspects then left the bank.

Anyone with information is encouraged to contact Naperville police.
