Spring Health Fair at Park Place This Saturday

Waukegan Township and Vista Health System will host the Spring Health & Wellness Fair on Saturday, May 31, at Park Place, 414 S. Lewis Avenue, Waukegan. The event will run from 9 a.m. - noon. Attendance is free and open to the public.

The fair will feature complimentary health screenings: blood pressure, hearing, balance, cholesterol, bone density, glucose, body mass index, spinal, foot, and hand strength. It also will feature a presentation called "Ask the Doctor" with Terrell Joy, M.D., who practices family medicine with Vista Physician Group at 1801 N. Sheridan Rd., North Chicago. In addition, the event will include a demonstration on Tai Chi at 9:30, yoga meditation at 10:30, and healthy cooking at 11 a.m.

The Spring Health & Wellness Fair will include 25 interactive exhibits and booths, free chair massages, giveaways and raffle prizes. For more information on the fair, call 847-244-9242.
