Arlington Heights wins housing grant

Arlington Heights is among nine Illinois communities to be awarded a housing grant from the Department of Housing and Urban Development, U.S. Sen. Dick Durbin said Friday. The village will get $249,710 in funding through three programs administered by HUD to help develop urban communities. "This federal investment will give local development agencies across Illinois the ability to offer affordable housing and homeless assistance to the people in their community who need it most," said Durbin.
