AOIIs Honor Local Leaders

Seven past presidents of the Chicago Northwest Suburban Alum chapter of Alpha Omicron Pi at their May Pot Luck Dinner. It's an annual event that always closes the season. Each of these women received a red rose in recognition of their two or more years as president: Pat Mottweiler of Mt. Prospect, Diane Pellettiere of Palatine, Joyce Sustr of Prospect Heights, Sue Dunmead of Schaumburg and Pat Juza, Judy Zawacke and Dotti Cutlip of Arlington Heights. An eighth honoree, Vicky Platt of Mt. Prospect, fell ill and was unable to attend.

Hosting the dinner in her Lake Zurich home was Stephanie Mete, aided by co-hostesses Nancy Brown of Deer Park and Cindy Cubberley of Hoffman Estates.

Another highlight was a lovely candle-lighting ceremony at which an engagement was revealed. The bride-to-be is Optometrist Nichole Kosciuk of Schaumburg, a University of Illinois graduate. She was given a red rose, the flower of AOII.

Current president Pat Juza began her two-year term in April, but has been president before. She will represent the chapter in June at the AOII Leadership Institute in Nashville.
