Online Facebook registration is under way for Libertyville's "Big Air Dog" Local Jumping Competition.

Local dog owners are invited to have their pet be one of 15 dogs that run down a 40-foot dock and jump into a 27,000-gallon, 20-by-40-foot pool for the title of "Libertyville's Big Air Dog."

Registered dogs will be entered into the voting, and the five dogs with the most votes by noon June 30 will take part in the jumping competition.

Libertyville's "Big Air Dog" Local Jumping Competition is held during Libertyville's Dog Days of Summer opening ceremonies at 6 p.m. Friday, July 11. Wayne Messmer will sing the national anthem and present awards to all 15 competitors.
