Lake Forest stops St. Viator
Lake Forest's girls soccer team stopped St. Viator's postseason run Friday with a 3-0 decision in the Class 2A Grayslake North sectional championship game.
The Scouts (16-6-1) got goals from Lucy Edwards and Jenny McKendry to earn a spot in Tuesday's supersectional matchup at Hoffman Estates against Rockford Boylan.
The East Suburban Catholic Conference co-champion Lions completed their season with a record of 13-7-3 under coach Mike Taylor.
