Lake Zurich police Thursday announced results from a special roadside safety check. It occurred from 11 p.m. on May 17 to 4 a.m. on May 18 near Route 12 and Deerpath Road. Police said the focus was on enforcing violations with occupant restraints, state licensing requirements and driving under the influence of drugs and/or alcohol. Cops made two DUI arrests and one for driving with a suspended license. Police said six citations were issued for no seat belt.
