Baraboo principal suspended for senior prank
BARABOO, Wis. - The principal at Baraboo High School has been suspended for two days without pay after he allowed a group of seniors to enter the school unsupervised.
The Baraboo News Republic said Principal Glenn Bildsten served his suspension Thursday and Friday. In a letter to parents and staff this week he accepted responsibility for the May 21 incident and apologized for damage to equipment at the school.
District Administrator Crystal Ritzenthaler says a few of the 70 students involved were suspended for one or two days. Most received detention.
Police are investigating. Lt. Rob Sinden says criminal charges aren't expected. Sinden says some of the school equipment thought to be damaged beyond repair is now working. School officials and police haven't released details of the damage.
