One injured in Aurora crash late Wednesday night

Police are investigating a single-car rollover crash that took place at about 12:45 a.m. on 75th Street in Aurora.

A 73-year-old Palos Park woman was driving westbound in her Cadillac when she hit the median at the curve at Rt. 34, crossed over the eastbound lanes and ended up in a ditch, Aurora Police spokesman Dan Ferrelli said.

The vehicle rolled over in the ditch, he said.

She was rushed to a nearby hospital for initial treatment before being airlifted to a suburban Chicago hospital with life-threatening injuries, he said.

75th Street remains closed while the crash is investigated. The roadway is expected to reopen around 6 a.m.
