Maine West Distinguished Alumnus named

Elliot "Kip" Dodge, a noted scientist and artist, has been named 2014 Maine West Distinguished Alumnus. Dodge, who graduated in 1962, has worked as an aerospace designer, engineer and manager for Jet Propulsion Laboratory/National Aeronautics and Space Administration on Mars missions, and as a painter has shown his works both regionally and internationally. He lives in Albuquerque, New Mexico.

Dodge will visit classes at Maine West Thursday, June 5, then be inducted at a dinner in his honor at the Rosewood Restaurant and at the Senior Honors Assembly 8 a.m. Friday, June 6, in the Maine West Spectator Gym.

Nominees are reviewed by a committee of Maine West faculty, administrators, students, and retired

faculty and community members. The final choice is made by the Maine Township High School

District 207 Educational Foundation.
