Centegra Hospital auxiliary to host jewelry fair

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary will host a jewelry fair to raise money for the Centegra Gavers Breast Center in Crystal Lake. The jewelry fair will be 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. Wednesday and Thursday, May 29 and 29, and 8 a.m. to 4 p.m. Friday, May 30, in the lower level lobby at Centegra Hospital-Woodstock, 3701 Doty Road.

“People have been asking us to offer a jewelry fair for months, and I am very excited to bring Purlaga Jewelry And More to Centegra Hospital-Woodstock,” said Sally Welter, auxiliary president.

“I know these beautiful handmade pieces will be a huge hit and a great opportunity for us to raise money for the Centegra Gavers Breast Center.”

The fair will have handmade jewelry items, stainless steel and sterling silver jewelry for men and women. There will be a wide selection of purses and wallets at 10 percent discount. The fair will also offer scarves, headbands and handmade dresses for young girls.

“And, ladies, bring in that broken necklace or bracelet you haven't worn in ages because Purlaga Jewelry can repair your jewelry, too,” Welter said.

Cash, check, credit and debit will be accepted and payroll deduction for Centegra Associates will be available.

The Centegra Hospital-Woodstock Auxiliary, established in 1946, is comprised of volunteers who organize fundraising activities, manage resale and gift shops and provide creative support for Centegra programs.

Their efforts and good will have furnished major spaces, bought surgical and emergency equipment and refurbished several critical care areas.
