"Stick with Nature" is the theme at Kids Nature Funfest from 2 to 5 p.m. Sunday, June 8, at the Greenbelt Cultural Center, 1215 Green Bay Road, North Chicago. The free event is recommended for kids 12 and under and features nature exploration activities, rock wall climbing, rope-bridge building, face painting, contests, and arts and crafts. Kids can win prizes by playing a variety of games. Free popcorn and snow cones will be available. The event will be held indoors during inclement weather. Kids Nature Funfest is held in conjunction with the Chicago Wilderness Leave No Child Inside initiative dedicated to improving children's physical, social and emotional well-being through outdoor play and exploration. Nature festivities include fort building, fun with mud, insect collecting and more. Call (847) 968-3477.
