Chicago State University athletic director quits

Chicago State University athletic director Dan Schumacher has resigned and plans to take the same job at the University of Wisconsin-Eau Claire.

Chicago State made the announcement on Friday. The school says Schumacher's last day will be June 13. He's held the position for two seasons. During that time, Chicago State entered the Western Athletic Conference.

CSU has named associate athletic director for compliance Nino Berticelli as interim athletic director.

The school says it will form a committee to a name a permanent replacement.
