Lane closures on Barrington Road bridge

The left lane in both the northbound and southbound directions on the Barrington Road bridge over the Jane Addams Memorial Tollway in Hoffman Estates will be closed overnight from 8 p.m. Wednesday, May 21 until 5 a.m. Thursday, May 22.

The closures are to allow road crews to complete the traffic shift of Barrington Road to the west side of the roadway. Once the configuration is completed, Barrington Road will be reduced to two lanes in each direction through October.

The bridgework is part of the widening of the tollway between Randall Road and the Tri-State Tollway. Beginning next year, work will begin on a new, $68 million interchange at Barrington Road and I-90.
