Paul Davidson III jumped on his motorcycle to get a haircut before his graduation from the University of Illinois when he was struck by a car near the Urbana-Champaign campus. Davidson, 30, died Friday night from his injuries. "All around he was such a hard worker," his mom said. A funeral will be held Friday in a Lemont church. Full story.

Paddlers took on swift currents yesterday in the Des Plaines River Canoe and Kayak Marathon. "It was a little squirrely out there," second-place finisher Mark Koenig said. "The river was moving pretty good. It was a fast race today." Full story.

Addison man charged after Chicago crash injures four

Kristian Hoddenbach, 23, faces a felony charge of aggravated fleeing after police said the Addison man fled from a traffic stop and crashed his car into a second vehicle and then a bus shelter in Chicago. Full story.
