D70 Supt. Honored With Statewide Award For Service To Children
Libertyville School District 70 Supt. Guy Schumacher was honored recently with the Richard Scofield Recognition Award by the Illinois Afterschool Network after being nominated by Champions. Dr. Schumacher is the first superintendent and only school administrator to be honored with the award.
The exemplary service and leadership honor is presented to a "person who has not only made a positive contribution to the field of after school in Illinois, but who exhibits career proficiency and personal excellence, serving as a model for all after school professionals."
The award ceremony took place in Springfield on May 3.
