• A 16-year-old boy was pistol whipped by a man Thursday who was trying to steal his iPhone in the 0 to 99 block of Oxford Drive, police said. The suspect, a black man in a red NorthFace hoodie and dark pants, asked the boy if he had change for a $20 bill. When the boy said no, the suspect pointed the gun at the boy and demanded his phone, Cmdr. Erman Blevins said.
