Polish restaurant opens in Mt. Prospect

A new upscale Polish restaurant in Mount Prospect held a ribbon cutting Friday that included a visit from a top official at the Polish consulate in Chicago. The restaurant, Qulinarnia, opened last month inside a strip mall storefront at 1730 W. Golf Road. Friday's official grand opening was attended by Konrad Zielinski, vice consul at Consulate General of the Republic of Poland in Chicago. The restaurant's owners say the menu includes traditional Polish favorites, as well as upscale fare such as filet mignon with a Polish twist.
