Local CrimeStopper President Names Board Member of the year By the Illinois tate Crime Stoppers Association

On May 12,2014, John Burke, Illinois State Crime Stoppers Association board

member, presented James McLin with the award from the Illinois State Crime

Stoppers Association for "Board Member of the Year". As John told the board

members, "James is an outstanding local board member and has done so much to get

the Palatine-Inverness Crime Stoppers organization up and running. His

dedication to the organization and the community as a whole make him not

only a wonderful President but a great neighbor, leader and team member."

James is the President and Treasurer of the Palatine-Inverness CrimeStoppers.

Palatine-Inverness CrimeStoppers mission is to promote community welfare

by partnering with residents, law enforcement, and the media to create and

promote a crime reporting mechanism which both rewards reporters of criminal

activity and protects them from retaliation by maintaining complete

anonymity.

HOW IT WORKS

1. Call 847-590-7867 to report a crime in Palatine or Inverness,

Illinois. No caller ID. No personal information about you will be

accepted.

2. Provide the details of your crime tip. Get a reference number.

3. Your information is forwarded to the appropriate law enforcement

agency for investigation.

4. Call back periodically to get the status of your case, learn the

amount of your reward, and get instructions for claiming your reward.

5. No personal identification is required at any time.
