• An iPhone5, valued at $800, was stolen between 12:01 a.m. and 1:28 p.m. Friday from a residence on the 6N100 block of Emily Lane near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report.

• The rear license plate was stolen off a 2005 Saturn Vue on the 1600 block of Reckinger Road near Aurora between 6 p.m. Saturday and 2:29 a.m. Sunday, according to a sheriff's report.

• Eight Precious Moments dolls worth an estimated $1,000 that were stored in an attic on the 1100 block of South Spencer Street near Aurora since June 2007 were reported stolen Monday, according to a sheriff's report. When the victim went to retrieve one of the dolls it was discovered the box in the attic had been moved.

• Nicholas W. Kanehl, 22, of the 9N900 block of Muirhead Lane, Elgin, was charged with driving under the influence of drugs, possession of hypodermic needles and syringes, and possession of drug paraphernalia at 12:07 a.m. Friday after deputies found him passed out in a car at Essex and Park avenues near St. Charles, according to a sheriff's report.
