Itasca's Gallagher appoints four vice presidents

Arthur J. Gallagher's board of directors has appointed Curtis Anderson, Sarah DiLorenzo, Richard Tallo and Thomas Tropp as corporate vice presidents.

Anderson began his career in retail insurance in 1971. He has over 40 years of wholesale insurance and managing general agency experience. He joined the Itasca-based company as a merger partner in 2001 and served in various executive positions in Risk Placement Services, the company's wholesale brokerage business. He currently is the President of RPS' MGA/Binding division. In addition, he serves as VP of the Arizona Surplus Lines Association.

DiLorenzo joined the company in 2014 as its Chief Compliance Officer. In this position, she oversees the global compliance program, the anti-corruption program, compliance training as well as partnering on the company's risk management, ethics and sustainability initiatives. She brings 18 years of combined compliance and insurance experience, most recently as Senior Counsel - Global Compliance and Privacy for McDonald's Corporation where her responsibilities included anti-corruption compliance, policy development, ethics training and internal investigations. She received her Bachelor's degree from St. Louis University and her law degree from Indiana University School of Law.

Tallo joined the company in May 2014 as its Chief Marketing & Communications Officer and will lead the company's global marketing and communication efforts. He brings 13 years of experience in the insurance industry, most recently as Senior Vice President, Marketing & Communications for the ACE Group of Companies in New York where he was responsible for all internal and external marketing and communications for their North America businesses. Previously, he was Director of Marketing and Communication for American Home Assurance Company. He holds both graduate and undergraduate degrees from the University of Connecticut.

Tropp joined the company in 2007 through the acquisition of Tropp & Company of which he was President and Founder. He currently is the company's VP Corporate Ethics and Sustainability. In this role, he visits company offices around the world speaking and listening to employees regarding Gallagher's shared values and the role of ethics in business. He also is the liaison between the company and organizations such as the United Nations Global Compact, the Ethisphere Institute, the Boston College Center for Corporate Citizenship and the Dow Jones Sustainability Index. He holds his Master of Arts in Philosophical and Theological Ethics from the University of Chicago.
