Judson eliminated from NAIA playoffs

The Judson University baseball team held a 4-1 lead after five innings Tuesday but couldn't sustain the advantage and fell to LSU-Shreveport 8-5 in the NAIA Opening Round at Montgomery, Ala.

The loss eliminated the Eagles from the postseason. They finish with a record of 42-19.

Judson had 10 hits in the game but they were all singles and the Eagles left 8 runners stranded on base.

Josh Raymond went 3-for-4, Cameron Balough was 2-for-5 with an RBI, Tony Ruggiero went 2-for-3 with an RBI and Tony Rallo had 2 RBI for the Eagles, who only got 2 hits from their 7-8-9 hitters.

Jordan Pemble took the loss on the mound in relief of Ryan Perez, who started and went 7 innings, allowing 5 runs on 10 hits.
