The Fox Valley Bicycle and Ski Club expects over 700 riders at the 45th annual Swedish Days Ride, a premier biking event in Northern Illinois. This event will take place on beautiful, scenic country roads west of Geneva and St. Charles, across the entire length of Kane County.

The ride starts near Burlington at Central High School on Plato Road, one mile west of Route 47. Registration opens at 6 a.m. and continues until 9:30 a.m.

Registration is $25 for a single rider or $45 per family.

Riders can register in advance at www.active.com until Wednesday, June 18.

The ride fee includes free refreshments and snacks at all rest stops and at the end of the ride. Each route is well marked.

Riders can choose to ride one of these distances: 27, 45, 62, 80, 100 or 124 miles, all on paved, low-traffic roads.

Radio-equipped support vehicles will patrol all routes from 6:30 a.m. to 4 p.m. for your safety and convenience.
