Dance the night away at Schaumburg Summer Dance Concerts

Grab a dance partner and spend the first Friday of the summer months dancing to live music in Town Square.

Schaumburg Park District's free Schaumburg Summer Dance Concerts are held at the Town Square gazebo, located at the corner of Schaumburg and Roselle Roads. Arthur Murray dance instructors will lead free introductory one-hour dance lessons from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. Live music and dancing will follow the lessons from 7:30 to 9:30 p.m.

"The popular concert series returns for a fourth summer," said Cultural Arts Supervisor Beth Waller. "This summer's concerts feature new dance styles and performers."

Upcoming concerts include:

• June 6 - Foxtrot and tango with The Eddie Harrison Jazz Quartet

• July 11 - Swing and salsa with Paris Swing

• Aug. 1 - Disco with Jump Stars

Guests are encouraged to bring lawn chairs. Concerts are held weather permitting.
