Burlington Central wins BNC title

The Burlington Central girls track team didn't bring home a plethora of gold medals from the Big Northern Conference meet at Rock Falls Thursday night, but they did bring home the championship trophy.

The Rockets scored 91 points to nip Oregon (85) for the league title.

Jasmine Castillo won the 300 hurdles (47.21) and finished third in the 100 hurdles, while Bryce Weinrich was second in both of those events for BC.

The Rockets' 800 and 1,600 relay teams also finished second, while Aly Detamble was second in the pole vault and Jaden Hodge took third in the high jump.
