Judson baseball team headed to NAIA World Series

The Judson University baseball team is headed to the NAIA World Series.

The Eagles bounced back from a 7-4 loss to Holy Cross (Ind.) in Game 1 to win the second game 10-6 Wednesday to secure the CCAC Tournament championship and the league's automatic bid to the national finals.

Judson (42-17) went ahead 7-0 after the top of the third inning then held on for the win.

Billy Wright (3-for-4, 2 RBI) and Cameron Balough (2-for-3, 3 RBI) each hit home runs for the Eagles in the win, while Luke Rojas was 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.

Ryan Perez picked up the win on the mound for the Eagles.

Matt Stevens homered for Judson in Game 1.
