Hanover Park Fire Deparment receives federal grant

The Hanover Park Fire department will receive a $72,750 grant from the Federal Emergency Management Agency, U.S. Rep. Tammy Duckworth announced Wednesday.

The funds will go toward a new sprinkler system for the fire house.

"Thousands of my constituents rely on the fire department and this grant will allow it to continue to serve to our community," Duckworth said in a news release. "The taxpayers of Illinois contribute more than their fair share to the federal government and I am pleased to see that crucial resources are coming back to the 8th District."
