Cougars blast Bees

Eight players collected at least 1 hit and eight scored at least 1 run as the Kane County Cougars (21-9) pounded the Burlington Bees 13-3 in Midwest League action Sunday to extend their winning streak at Fifth Third Bank Ballpark in Geneva to nine games.

Among the hitting stars for the Cougars (21-9), who are 14-2 at home this season, Jake Hannemann had a home run, Jordan Hankins had a pair of doubles and 4 RBI, Jacob Rogers doubled to drive in a pair of runs and Jordan Hankins had 2 doubles and 4 RBI and Daniel Lockhart had 2 hits.

Paul Blackburn (3-1) earned the win, allowing 3 runs in 6 innings with 6 strikeouts and 1 walk.
