Congratulations to the World Class Basketball 16U National Team on winning the AAU Illinois State Tournament. The tournament took place April 12 and 13, in Lake Zurich, and featured teams from all over the state.

In pool play, the team defeated Kessel Heat 44 to 29 and TAW by a forfeit. In bracket play, they beat the Bluegolds out of Springfield, 59 to 33, Old Gold out of Chicago 55 to 37, Team NLP Elite 49 to 47 and beat Kessel Heat in the Championship 59 to 57 to win the State Championship.

It was a great accomplishment for a team playing only their second tournament together. The team will finish out the spring playing in the Adidas Spring Classic, GRBA National Qualifier and NY2LA Invitational.
