Hanover Township searching for volunteers for creek cleanup

Hanover Township is looking for volunteers to help clean up Willow Creek Saturday, May 10.

The Elgin chapter of the Izaak Walton League of America has teamed up with the township to host the annual spring cleanup.

Volunteers will meet 8:30 a.m. to pick up supplies and receive instructions at the Izaak Walton Center, 899 Jay St., Elgin. Lunch will be provided at noon.

Organizers encourage volunteers to dress appropriately for clearing trash and other items that could obstruct the creek's flow.
