Paintathon of Carpentersville assists seniors and disabled vets

Each September, the Paintathon of Carpentersville assists seniors and disabled vets. They paint three or four exterior homes for local senior citizens and disabled veterans who need some assistance.

This year's Paintathon will be Saturday, Sept. 6, with a rain date of Sept. 13. Applications for seniors and disabled veterans can be picked up at the Dundee Township Senior Center, 665 Barrington Ave. in Carpentersville, or the Carpentersville Village Hall community development department, 1200 LW Besinger Drive.
