Strong showing for Hersey at Glenbrook S.

Hersey added to its impressive season on Saturday by making it into the championship bracket for the first time at the Glenbrook South boys water polo tournament, finishing third overall.

Among their victories in pool play, the Huskies topped upcoming Mid-Suburban League championship game foe Palatine 16-11 as George Vladimirov had 6 goals and Jack Carroll 5. Kristiyan Kalev led Palatine with 5 goals and Omar El Hoffi and Wally Kleinfeldt had 3 goals each.

The Huskies also edged New Trier 8-7 and lost to Glenbrook South (8-7) and Naperville North (16-7) in championship bracket action.
