The Solid Waste Agency of Lake County and the village of Lincolnshire want to creatively recycle/reuse unwanted or outgrown shoes to keep them out of landfills. Residents can donate old shoes of all types, brands and sizes through Wednesday, April 30. Rollerblades, ice skates, and winter boots are not accepted. Drop off shoes at these locations: Lincolnshire Public Works Facility, 205 Schelter Road, Lincolnshire; Daniel Wright Middle School, 1370 N. Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire; Laura B. Sprague School, 2425 Riverwoods Road, Lincolnshire. Shoes must be in pairs tied together by laces or by a rubber band.
