Dogs are welcome to gather with family and friends Saturday at Community Park, 42 Park View Lane, Hawthorn Woods, for the village's inaugural Bark in the Park. This free community event is set for 10 a.m. to noon. Dogs can run, jump, roll over and play with other friends. A variety of vendors will be available to pamper your best friend. Event services and amenities include microchipping, adoptable dogs, training demonstrations, fenced-in off-leash play area, games and activities and information on boarding and grooming services. All dogs must be leashed.
