Naperville North 10, Wheaton North 2:

The Huskies (7-4, 3-1) trailed 2-1 until they took control of the DuPage Valley Conference game with a 4-run top of the fourth. John Sagen went 5-for-5 with 2 doubles and 3 RBI. Mike Laurenzo doubled and drove in 2 runs in support of winning pitcher Robert Leonard. Greg Scandora went 2-for-4 for Wheaton North (5-8, 1-3).

WW South 7, West Aurora 1:

Winning pitcher Brett Struebing improved to 4-0 thanks to a complete-game effort with 11 strikeouts. Justin Kelly went 4-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI. Eric Giltz, Connor Ostrander and Robert Zablock all had 2 hits.

Naperville Central 8, Glenbard East 1:

Bobby McMillen and Brendon Daley each had 3 hits and Luke Daley drove in 3 runs for the Redhawks (8-6, 3-1) in their DuPage Valley Conference victory. Winning pitcher Pat Maloney struck out eight in 6 innings. Tommy Mogavero went 2-for-3 with a double and RBI for Glenbard East (8-7, 2-2).

Glenbard North 5, Lake Park 4:

Ken Schutz blasted a 3-run seventh-inning homer for the Lancers (4-7, 1-3), but Glenbard North (8-6, 2-2) held on for the DuPage Valley Conference victory. Gary Santos homered for the Panthers while Luke Greenberg went 2-for-3. Winning pitcher Matt Albin, who went 6 innings, improved to 3-0.

Waubonsie Valley 6, St. Charles East 4:

Winning pitcher Tyler Hasper scattered 5 hits for the Warriors (8-4, 4-1) in their Upstate Eight Conference victory. Luke Marzano and Drew Ellam, who went 2-for-3 with a double and 3 RBI, each homered.

St. Francis 8, Wheaton Academy 6:

The Spartans (9-5, 4-1) rallied from a 4-1 deficit by scoring 4 runs in the bottom of the fifth and 3 runs in the sixth to win the Suburban Christian Conference game. Winning pitcher Christian Kuzemka and Zach Prociuk homered. Chris Johnson homered and drove in 2 runs for Wheaton Academy (5-8, 2-5).

Montini 4, Aurora Christian 0:

Eric Frontzak pitched a 4-hitter with 9 strikeouts and no walks as the Broncos (10-1, 6-1) claimed the Suburban Christian Conference shutout. Rhett Wojkovich scored twice while Tommy Long drove in a run. Pat Hennessy went 2-for-3.

Glenbard South 7, Elmwood Park 4:

After Elmwood Park tied the game 2-2 in the top of the fourth, Glenbard South (9-3, 5-0) exploded for 5 runs in the bottom of the inning to win in the Metro Suburban Conference. Joey Atkinson and Dylan Brambora had 2 hits. Jacob Straza scattered 5 hits while earning the win.

Downers South 9, Willowbrook 7:

The Mustangs (8-3, 6-0) scored 6 runs in the top of the first and held on late to sweep the three-game West Suburban Gold series. Danny Oriente, Matt Zinnecker and Danny Spinuzza combined for 7 RBI. Joe Becht, Ryan Taylor and Joey Engel had 2 hits apiece. Zac Taylor pitched into the fifth inning for the win. Mike Rothmund went 3-for-4 with 2 doubles and 2 RBI for Willowbrook (9-5, 6-3). Brian Johnson went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.

St. Charles North 8, West Chicago 7:

The Wildcats outhit St. Charles North 11-7, but fell in the Upstate Eight Conference. Ryan Koester, who homered, and Connor Dall had 3 hits apiece while Austin Kordik went 2-for-4 with 2 RBI.

Leyden 3, Addison Trail 2:

Losing pitcher Joe Kurucar struck out nine and walked none for the Blazers (2-12, 1-8). Christian Grabowski went 2-for-3.
