Buffalo Grove Expressions Show Choir 2014 Big Show tickets on sale now

A rite of spring and highlight of the Buffalo Grove High School performance season, the Expressions Show Choir's annual Big Show, will soon take the school's stage.

"Journey through Musical Theater" opens at 7 p.m. on Thursday, May 1, and continues its run at 7:30 p.m. on Friday and Saturday, May 2-3, The school is located at the corner of Dundee and Arlington Heights roads in Buffalo Grove.

Tickets are $10 and will be sold in the main office 7:30-9:30 a.m., 10:30 a.m.-1 p.m., and from 2-3 p.m. Monday through Friday, April 21-25. All seats are reserved; purchase tickets early for best available seating.

The Expressions recently completed another successful, award-winning competition season, capturing three Grand Championships in five competitions, earning First Runner-Up in one and Third Runner-Up in another, "Best Choreography" in three, and "Best Vocals/Best Band" in two. Senior Brian McCallister won Best Male Soloist in a Competition Show at four competitions this year. The Expressions show choir includes 39 singer/dancers, 14 band members and three crew members. The director is Debora Utley; choreographer, Randy Sage; and band director, Bryan Itzkowitz.

The singer/dancers are Paige Alvarado, Milan Babic, Madelyn Baboian, Nicole Bankowski, Joseph Boyd, Jesse Brooks, Colin Bush, Ian Bush, Justin Cavaiani, Christiana Chambers, Justyna Chmura, Lena Conlon, Mia Connery, Jennifer Dahms, Michael Dax, Amanda DeFoe, Dylan DeWitt, Cole Festenstein, Lia Rose Frykman, Cynthia Gorski, Jake Hackl, Jeremy Hamburger, Mary Hussey, Mitchell Janca, Henry Johnston, Andrew Kapinos, Alexa Karbin, Emilia Kluz, Stefani Lah, Trent Leggs, Josh Levinson, Brian McCallister, Domingo Morales, Allison Panzarella, Pat Ray, Camilla Rier, Liza Shapin, Rachel VanderVeen and Carter Weiss.

Band members are George Ayoub, Chris Cooper, Basil Dababneh, Skyler From, Kristen Gorski, Nick Graziano, Lauren Janca, Erich Martin, Justin Opperman, Will Reyes, Anthony Sorgani, Max Woolridge, Kris Yambao and Mrs. Jeannie Workman.

Crew members include Katie Altieri, Jessica Day and Salma Cambroni.
