Buffalo Grove Rotary offers community grants

The Rotary Club of Buffalo Grove is seeking applicants for community grants.

In honor of Bill Reid, Rotary will provide funding for projects and causes that contribute to the success of the local community with the objective of making Buffalo Grove a better place to live and work. One-time grants of up to $2,500 are given to efforts that have the potential to provide visible, long-term, sustainable benefits for community members.

Applicants must be organizations with a clear mission and a structured leadership. Charitable or nonprofit organizations with a 501(c) (3) designation are encouraged to apply, though this designation is not a requirement. Faith-based nonprofit organizations may qualify, if their proposed project benefits the community as a whole rather than just the members of the organization.

Projects must contribute to Rotary's focus on community service. Last year, Rotary provided grants to the Community Emergency Response Team (CERT), OMNI Youth Services and PADS.

Applications are due by Wednesday, April 30. Information is at BGRotary.org.
