Annual arthritis walk:

The 12th annual Walk to Cure Arthritis Lake County is 8:30 a.m. to noon on Saturday, April 26, at Old School Forest Preserve on St. Mary's Road, east of Libertyville. The event features a three-mile and one-mile course, with arthritis information and activities for the entire family. Pet owners are encouraged to bring their dogs. Organizers estimate more than 400 people will cheer on the walkers. The fundraising goal is $53,500. U.S. Rep. Brad Schneider, the co-sponsor of Patients' Access to Treatments Act and Pediatric Subspecialty Loan Repayment Program, is the keynote spearker.
