Jacobs 16, Johnsburg 5: Alyssa Lach was 4-for-4 with 2 home runs and 5 RBI as Jacobs rolled to a Fox Valley Conference crossover win Thursday. Taylor Belo also went 3-for-3 with a home run and 3 RBI for the Golden Eagles (10-2, 3-1) while Emily Borg was 2-for-2 with a homer, double and 2 RBI. Sarah Murray, Katie Borchert and Courtney Cotugno also drove in runs for the winners, while Kelsey Peters allowed 3 earned runs, 7 hits and had 4 strikeouts and no walks to pick up the win.

Burlington Central 8, Richmond 1: The host Rockets scored 6 runs in the first three innings and cruised to a Big Northern East win. Kassidy Gaylord (3-for-4, 2 doubles, RBI) and Courtni Neubauer (2-for-4, 2 HRs) led the offense for Central (7-5, 3-0). Emily Kisch tossed a 3-hitter with 7 strikeouts and 2 walks for the win.

Huntley 12, Dundee-Crown 0: Haley Spannraft tossed a 5-inning 2-hitter and Jessica Shields went 2-for-2 with a triple ands 3 RBI to lead Huntley to a win in the FVC Valley. Brittany Koss and Taylor Stone each had 2 hits and 2 stolen bases for the Red Raiders (5-5, 1-1). Lauren Girard took the loss for Dundee-Crown (0-3, 0-2).

South Elgin 8, Prairie Ridge 2: Cassidy Westlund was 3-for-4 with 2 home runs and Sam Helton went 2-for-3 with 2 RBI as the Storm (6-5) won in nonconference action. Demi Queen (2-for-3, 2 RBI) and Taylor Ford (2-for-3, 2 RBI) also contributed while Karli Dobler went 5 innings allowing 5 hits to pick up the win.

Cary-Grove 17, Woodstock North 1: Lisa Semro was 3-for-3 with a home run and 5 RBI to lead the Trojans (6-3, 3-2) to a FVC Valley win. Amy Clemment (3-for-4, 2B, 3 RBI), Caityln Adams (2-for-3, 2 RBI), Jamie Deering (2-for-3), Brianne Prank (2-for-4), Grace Pilz (2B, RBI), Kristi Isola (2B), Sarah Kendeigh (RBI), Caroline Zasadil (2 RBI) and Sarah Purpura (RBI) each contributed for Cary-Grove and Lauren Stanley allowed just 2 hits with 5 strikeouts in her first appearance of the spring in the circle.

CL South 7, Hampshire 6: Sam McLean drove home Erin Yazel with the winning run in the bottom of the seventh to lift the Gators (5-4, 2-1) to a FVC crossover win. McLean was 3-for-3 with 2 triples and 3 RBI for Crystal Lake South while Hailee Massie (2B, RBI) and Taylor Kassel (RBI) also contributed. Samantha Burgard picked up the win. Sara Finn (2-for-3, HR, 2B, RBI), Haley Widmayer (2B, RBI), Peyton DeChant (3-for-4, 2B, RBI) and Becca Hurst (2-for-4, 3 RBI) led the Whip-Purs (7-6, 2-2). Widmayer was the losing pitcher.

West Chicago 10, Streamwood 0: Streamwood (1-5, 1-4) managed just 3 hits in this Upstate Eight crossover loss. Jessica Daley took the loss for the Sabres.
