Colleen Zickert scored the golden goal with an assist from her sister, Kelli, in the second overtime to help Buffalo Grove advance past host Metea Valley 2-1 in PepsiCo Showdown tournament play Thursday.

Kelli Zickert scored an unassisted goal for the Bison in the first half, and Jenna Kentgen had a goal assisted by Alena Sidwell for Metea Valley in the first half.

Buffalo Grove (13-0) will meet the winner of Thursday's Lyons-Glenbrook South game in the tournament semifinals on Saturday.

Hersey 2, Libertyville 0: Jessica Schmidt and Abby Wendell had the goals as the Huskies picked up a PepsiCo Showdown victory.

Fremd 3, Schaumburg 2: The visiting Vikings got first-half goals from Jessica Kopec, Julia Leonard and Sarah Afterlak hold up for an MSL West win.

Schaumburg trailed 3-0 at the half but challenged with second-half goals from Lexi Awdziejczyk and Sam Tyler.
