Chicagoland's First MEND Infant Loss Support Group to Meet in Schaumburg

The first MEND (Mommies Enduring Neonatal Death) support group in the Chicagoland area will be offered in Schaumburg.

MEND Chicagoland, open to moms and dads and free of charge, will meet every first Tuesday of the month, starting June 3 at St. Peter Lutheran Church, 202 E. Schaumburg Road in Schaumburg, from 7 - 8:30 p.m.

MEND, a national Christian non-profit established in 1996, reaches out to those who have lost a child to miscarriage, stillbirth or infant death and offers a way to share experiences and information.

"We're thankful to bring MEND to the Chicago area and walk along side hurting moms and dads so we can offer compassion, support and hope during a very difficult time," said Sara Hintz, MEND Chicagoland director. "We grieve with you and there is hope for healing."
