Despite a very breezy day, the Harper women's track and field team posted outstanding results at the Chicagoland Outdoor Championships hosted by Lewis University. In total, two Hawks qualified for nationals in their events and five set PR's.

Stephanie Hurwitz (Rolling Meadows, Ill./Fremd) qualified for the national meet in both the 100-meter and 200-meter dash. Her 100-meter time of 13.19 seconds was a PR as was her 200 time of 27.20 seconds. Lara Sladek (/St. Viator) earned a spot at nationals in the shot put with a toss of 9.55m (31' 4").

Sprinter Taylor LoCoco (/Prairie Ridge) posted PR's in both the 200-meter (27.85 seconds) and 400-meter (1:07.61) dashes. In the distance events, Mary Piltaver (/Conant) set a personal-best in the 1500-meter run with a time of 5:51.89 while Lori Delfin (/Wheeling) ran a personal-best 20:53.17 in the 5k.

The Hawks are back in action at the Concordia University Invite on Thursday, April 17.
