Bears waive defensive end Ozougwu

The Chicago Bears waived defensive end Cheta Ozougwu on Tuesday. Ozougwu appeared in nine games over two seasons (2012-13) with the Bears, recording four tackles. Ozougwu, a 6-foot-3, 255-pound defensive lineman from Rice, also had one sack, one tackle for a loss and one forced fumble for the Bears. He recorded five special teams tackles.

A native of Houston, Ozougwu was the last player picked in the 2011 NFL draft when he was selected by the Texans.
